Secret Santa came to Greerton

Today we had secret Santa come and give us all presents it was really good😊

Rodger dressed as Santa and helped pass out the prezzies 🎁 We all had lots of laughter and smiles from all! Thanks to everyone it was great. 

Retro Party

I had a great time at the end of year party with my two sisters dancing the night away with my Arohanui friends. The food was good . My sister, Jenna, really enjoyed herself. I took a lot of photos of my friends using my phone. I had a blast! The staff at Arohanui did our hair and makeup that afternoon so I was already to party, party, PARTY!
I wore my retro Wrigleys chewing gum Tshirt to the party. I practiced really hard to learn the the Rock Around the Clock line dance for weeks but was too afraid to get up and dance in case someone bumped in to me.

Picnic

On Tuesday we had our Christmas BBQ at Yatton Park. I had lots of fun with my friends eating and going on a scavenger hunt.

Thanksgiving

On Thursday 23 rd November we had a special Thanksgiving sampler plate at lunch. I learnt about American Thanksgiving and ate turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potato, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie. It was yummy. 

Chickens!

I really look forward to check on the two chicks everyday. They make you feel warm and fuzzy and calm when you're not feeling happy. On Monday " Bossy Boots" the youngest chick shared her love by peeing on me 😝

Donkeys

I had fun with my friends at the donkey farm. I loved watching the donkeys getting fed carrots. Frodo is so loveable sharing his love around. There also was a tortoise and 8 chickens.

Hair

I had fun yesterday in girls group, Kayla done my hair in a braid and I looked beautiful. Really enjoyed listening to music as well.photos to come.

Veggie Soup

Today I had fun with my friends cooking veggie soup with the vegetables from our own garden.  I chopped all the celery and stirred the soup.

Story

I have been colouring in some drawings for characters in my art book.

Learning the "scratchy" sketch technique.

One of my goals is to learn new sketching techniques in my art sessions. Today I used a "scratching" technique instead of having outlines or shading. Look at the amazing art I create when I believe in myself! It is beautiful. 

Cooking

I enjoyed making banana and berry muffins today with my friends. I did lots of mixing of the ingredients and even washed the dishes!

Wearable Arts

I have had fun making flowers for a dress and making a vest in Wearable Arts.

Story writing

I have been writing a story about my beautiful nieces in Literacy and Numeracy. I love to write stories.

Crochet time

I enjoy my knitting and crochet style knit. I decided to have some crochet therapy after my lunch today.....

Sewing

Today I sewed on the button to my strap that will fix my IPP book together. It was very fiddley but I persevered and got the job done!

Art

I am enjoying learning different things in art. Do you like my painting? It will be for sale in the gallery when I have finished it!

Scrap booking

Writing my stories

I have been typing up all my awesome stories and learning new skills on the computer at the same time!

Happy birthday to me!!

I had a wonderful birthday apart from having no lights at Arohanui for the morning, and the horrible rainy day. I am looking forward to the weekend for presents, movies and family time.

Hight Tea

We had high tea at Girls Group. I really enjoyed the herbal tea and pastries.

Literacy

I enjoy learning how to use the computer, by typing my poem in

to the computer and editing.

Cafe Visit

On Tuesday I went to The Whipped Baker at the Historic Village with my friends. I had a great time chatting and enjoyed my iced chocolate and date scone, yum!

Face painting

I had my fade painted in girls group, I got Daisy's and violets. I looked gorgeous. 

Country Music

I had a lovely time listening to Lindsay, Anita and Elizabeth sing country music.  They were very funny and it was awesome listening to young Elizabeth sing.

Here is my watercolour pencil picture finished and framed at last !!! Isn't it cool ?! I'm going to hang it up in our Gallery for all to admire.

Guide Dog Visit

Today we had a visit from the Blind Foundation. They brought their beautiful puppies with them who were being trained up to eventually be Guide Dogs. I loved to pat them and hear about their stories.

Keyboard

I am having fun playing the keyboard. The keys light up to let me know which key to push next as the music plays. 

Numeracy

Today I was enjoying doing maths with my friends. We put data into charts.

Art

I am enjoying my art and working from a picture of " A Boy called Paul" by an artist called Picasso. I have used watercolour pencils with my sketch.

Mâché!

Today I am making my IPP board, it is going to be a book that will open up to put my goals inside.

Katikati Trip

I went to Katikati with my friends to visit the Haiku Pathway on Wednesday. We had an awesome time walking around the pathway and reading all the haiku poems. I took lots of inspiration to write my poems and stories for my book.
