Secret Santa

Today we opened our secret Santa presents today. I got a really cute Santa mug with a Santa chocolate and some lollies, yum!

I have just finished my mosaic lizard. I am giving it to my nephew for Christmas.

Foodbank and baking

I had a super busy day. I got to volunteer at food bank this morning. Good thing I brought my walker today. Then I finished making some chocolate chip biscuits to donate to the food bank after lunch. I cut up some apricots and added them to the rolled out biscuits. They smell yummy.

Every Wednesday Nick comes and tutors me and has shown me how to write my own book. I finally have had it published and also received a certificate for my hard work.

Money money money

instead of working on my writing this week, I went “shopping” during my literacy and numeracy session. I had $100 to spend in the warehouse catalogue online and bought a diamond ring. It was a lot of fun.

marshalls animal farm

I had an amazing trip to Marshalls animal farm.
I loved feeding the ducks, seeing the Cockatoo that said "Hello", I cuddled a lovely ginger guinea pig and saw lots of exotic chicken and chicks.
it was a fun day out.

Hungarian Potato Salad

Today I made Hungarian potato salad with my friends. We used chives and parsley from the garden. Delish! My family recipe uses mayonnaise, eggs and salami, so it was good to learn a vinegar based recipe.

Fun

I've been having some great fun with all my Arohanui friends. I am getting out and about in the community taking photos, helping at Op Shop, and enjoying the sun. I love hanging out with my cheeky friends.

Happy birthday to me!

It's my birthday today and I had a small celebration with my friends at Arohanui. I had a cupcake and I blew out the candle. My sister picked me up and took me out for lunch.

Another week of soup...pumpkin time

This week we made pumpkin soup. I helped by cutting the onions and cooking them. I love to eat soup.

Pampering with the Ladies group, getting a manicure done!!! Absolutely fabulous.
